On the pure logic of justified belief

Abstract Justified belief is a core concept in epistemology and there has been an increasing interest its logic over the last years. While many logical investigations consider justified as operator, this paper, we propose for which relevant notion treated predicate instead. Although gives rise to possibility of liar-like paradoxes, treatment allows rich highly expressive framework, lives up universal ambitions investigating epistemological concepts. We start with base theory belief, then systematically present putative additional axioms belief. provide overview (in)consistency results when principles are added theory, discuss their philosophical plausibility.
